In 2009, we fielded 3 football and 3 cheer teams consisting of over 84 boys and girls ages 5-12 from the Cortlandt Manor and Putnam Valley areas. 2010 saw our numbers increase, fielding 4 football and 2 cheer teams. In addition to our regular season, our youth participate in post-season tournaments and programs throughout the surrounding areas. This season, we were crowned Champions in the Junior Pee Wee division advancing to the State quarterfinals. All of this is accomplished with the countless hours of many volunteers and the cooperation of the Lakeland School District and the Town of Cortlandt. We must, however, provide uniforms and equipment for all participating youngsters, and in order to accomplish this we need your help! The cost of properly outfitting a child with safe equipment and uniforms our town can be proud of is about $350.00 per child. We attempt, through our fundraising and sponsorship efforts to limit as much as possible the passing through of this cost to the parents. Donations and sponsorships also help our organization offset these costs.
All donations are recognized as a vital
component to keeping our organization going. Sponsorship does not require a
commitment to an annual donation, nor does it require a company to take on the
total cost of a team’s expenses. Community involvement is necessary to keep the
community program going. Parents are made aware of those who have shown support
and are encouraged to support our local community benefactors as well. We welcome you being at our home games and
letting your support of our youth be known to the community. Certainly we will do our part by including
your business in our marketing materials and website.
